That is something I have not seen since my army days and that was processed cheese spread. I have seen freeze dried cheese as an ingreadient in camper's meals, perhaps it's available in large tins? Traditionaly super dry, high salt, cheeses like Parmesan are used for long term storage just as dry salami is used, they are stored in a cool dark enviroment. I wonder if regular cheese could be home canned, a google search for that topic might turn-up something, also if you have a local cheese mfg you might try contacting them to see if they ever offered it in the past as part of a govt. contract. LDS has alot of info on thier website.
The past is not dead, it is not even past. Any health care funding plan that is just, equitable, civilized and humane must, must redistribute wealth from the richer among us to the poorer and the less fortunate. Excellent health care is by definition redistributional.
Just getting acquainted, reading old posts around here...
This topic made me laugh, only because here in the United States, the only canned butter anybody seems to know about, across different brands and different stores, everywhere from the tiny specialty African Market to the Wal-Mart Super-Center, all canned butter says, "Product of New Zealand".
